How to: Prints.

Net-a-porter released 10 trends for the spring/summer season in their latest online magazine issue. I shall be working my own twist on these trends, mixing high street with designer and hopefully aiming to make them more 'wear-able' on a day to day basis. The first of the trends that I shall be tackling is 'Prints'. I know that the 'in thing to do' this season is to mix prints, but I don't think that I would realistically mix two kinds of tropical print together for my daily outfit. So here is a more subdued version:

Elegance.

I cannot believe the bargain I got for this pair of sandals! They are so timeless and elegant, the sort of shoes that you can go back to time and time again. They are such a  classic pair of shoes that can transform any simple look into a sophisticated outfit worthy of any designer label-luster!!! The only thing holding me back is this darn English weather...

Wishing for spring.

I am so bloomin' fed up of this freezing cold weather (-14 degrees yesterday!), that I have decided to just say 'to hell with it' and start wearing my spring clothes already. This was my outfit to see a production of 'Beauty and the Beast' by the Warwick Arts students on thursday night. Three days later and I'm still dreaming of Gaston..ahhh...

Valentines Date: Night in with the girls or snuggling up with the bf.

If you are planning to spend the night in with your girl friends with the good old 'rom com's and a tub (or two) of ice cream, or like me, just want to snuggle up with the boyfriend and eat take-out, then you are going to need some serious comfy-wear (not a word, I know)! I actually spent more time on this one than the previous two date nights...but if you are going to do comfy, you have to do it right.

Valentines Date: Splashing the Cash

With such a show stopping piece as this dress why spoil it by over-doing it on the accessories?! This outfit is sure to be a jaw-dropper ;)

Valentines Date: On a Budget.

Due to the ridiculously heavy advertising, we all know that the day of luuuuurve is very fast approaching. This post is for any of you lucky ladies that have managed to score a date that night ;)
I shall be doing a series of posts for Valentines day. The first is for those of us that are on a bit of a budget this month, the second is for those daring enough to splash the cash on their special night with the loved one, and the third will be for the ladies that are just having a night in with movies and ice cream...I'm thinking a special post full of pyjamas and snugly blankets. :) I have to say that I'm looking forward to the third post most. If it was socially acceptable, I would spend my whole life in pyjamas. Unfortunately it's not, so I shall be taking full advantage of this date to snuggle up with the boyf in my PJ's, eat take-away and watch the box set of the Big Bang Theory!

Obviously we couldn't forget the underwear now could we?

Pinterest.

Pinterest has been around for a while now, but for some unknown reason I only decided to look into it last week. I'm literally kicking myself now as it is THE most amazing thing in the whole wide world!!!!! Whoever created this...I love you.
It is basically a really good way of storing all your inspiration for your future home, for example, or a place to keep all the clothes you want without keeping a million tabs open. And it's so easy to use. When you have found a picture/recipe/ item of clothing you love, you just press the 'pin it' button on your bookmarks tab and it pins it straight to the board you choose on your home page.
I have to warn you though, I have done no work since getting an account as it is extremely addictive. I'm planning on having a 'pinning party' with my bessies in the near future, which is us pretty much sat in my kitchen eating naughties, drinking wine and pinning. I honestly could not think of a better night in!
If you want to join you need an invite so either add me on facebook on the link below and I can send you one via that way or you can leave your email address in a comment and I can email you an invite. I will also leave a link to my pinterest page so you can check it out if you are already a member :)

You can have as many boards as you like on your page. I think I may have to start to split 'my style' board into different trends or different items of clothing....keen much?

Week 1: I'm Coveting...

This is going to be my very first 'This week I'm coveting' post :) It is basically everything that I would buy if I had a magical purse that never got empty. I've literally spent a good half an hour trying to narrow it down to just 10 items... This would be much easier if I had the time to do one everyday!
